Nigerian Girl Kidnapping: Another Media Trumped Up Crisis to Justify More US Imperialism in Africa

This whole Nigerian girls getting kidnapped story is just another Joseph Konyesque news report that will be used to justify more US imperialism in Africa specifically Nigeria which is the 7th largest oil producer in the world. The US already announced that they will send aid to Nigeria to fight this "terrorist" group. The US has now military operations throughout the entire continent under their AFRICOM operation to control Africa's oil and natural resources and to prevent China from coming in to steal Africa's resources. Obama has been instrumental in placing more troops into Africa. To put the story into context, Nigeria is controlled by a corrupt and tyrannical government which is totally owned by Exxon Mobil, Shell, BP, and Chevron. These companies have killed hundreds of thousands of people via oil spills, pollution, and by sending the Nigerian military in where the oil is to kill and terrorize people so they can be forcibly removed from their land so the oil companies can drill there.  In Nigeria, there is the equivalent of 10 Exxon Valdez spills a year there and oil companies have totally decimated the environment and people. The stealing of Nigeria's oil and wealth, the degradation and genocide of people and the fact that the people have not enjoyed the country's riches has fueled resentment against many militant groups in Nigeria who oppose the continued oil exploitation. Boko Haram is an Al Qeuda which is a CIA creation so I am sure the American government has helped play a role in creating this "terrorist" group to justify the Nigerian government's war on the people to drill for oil in typical Hiegilan dielect "problem, reaction, solution" style.  The Nigerian government has been waging a war on these "terrorist" groups for decades now to crush all opposition to oil exploitation. So now that this CIA backed group has kidnapped some schoolgirls, the media has created a firestorm, and then Obama will send even more troops in Nigeria under a humanitarian guise, not to free the girls, but to CONTROL the oil, kill more people, and prevent China from getting their hands on Africa's resources. It is sad that girls have been kidnapped but it is even more sad that world continues to burn oil, a substance that will bring out the entire extinction of every single living thing on this planet via global warming, all for the sake for profit.

How Traditional Male Gender Roles Hurt Men

This is true! Male gender roles enslave men which is why I don't subscribe to them. Feminists were correct in pointing out how women's gender roles hurt women but there hasn't been and never will be a movement to challenge male gender roles particularly the bullshit "honorable" sides of manhood i.e "a real man works hard, "a real man takes care of his family", "a real man never cheats". Provide and protect, chivalry, hero/sacrificial lamb, tough guy, competitor, and aggressor all make men disposable. Manhood and masculinity are bad for men and also definitely bad for women too.

Does Religion Breed Dysfunctional, People Pleasing Nice Guys?

An interesting article below on how religion plays a major role in having the nice guy syndrome or being a people pleaser. Most people pleasers I know, men and women, are very religious or grew up religious. Religion definitely plays in major role in teaching women to be "good girls" or people pleasers. I grew up Catholic and went to Catholic schools for 10 years of my life as a child. When I grew older, I was actually a youth minister for a time and considered going to seminary. All of the religious indoctrination that I got as kid definitely fucked me up and I know played a major role in me being a people pleasing nice guy. Nice guys believe that they have to be "good" because of their belief that they fundamentally bad or "sinners", feel tremendous shame when they make mistakes or "sin", and have deep sexual fear and shame and often struggle with sexual addictions to porn (which I struggled with for a time). Nice guys are also passive (praying is a passive act), extremely anxious (religion uses the devil, fear of the Lord and fear of condemnation to control people), self sacrificing (like Jesus), don't set boundaries and let people walk all over them (turn the other cheek), and seek people's approval or validation and fear their disproval just religious people are taught to seek God's approval and fear God's disproval. Religion definitely does not make people healthy and for who struggle with the disease to please or being a people pleaser, it makes it worse! I definitely glad I broke free from my religious indoctrination and I am continuing to break free from being a people-pleasing "nice guy"
